New offence law

On August 3, 2016, new Act no. 250/2016 Coll. providing for the liability for offences and proceedings relating thereto, and relating Act no. 251/2016 Coll. providing for some offences, have been enacted. The Acts bring many changes in the concept of the liability for offences, in particular an extension of the liability for offences to legal entities. The new Offence Act assumes a number of concepts from criminal law, and both legislations become close to each other. Both Acts will come into effect on July 1, 2017.
